Can I collect my books from the shop?
Yes! Please let us know before purchase and we can arrange in shop or over the phone – this means a discount of £10 for every 3 months (so up to £40 cheaper!). If you already have a subscription and would like to collect, let us know and we can arrange for an extra book/s as appropriate in lieu of the postage. We will notify you each month when your specially chosen book is ready for collection!
When will I receive my books?
We send the books around the 1st of the month so you should have it before the 10th of the month, usually sooner! If it’s your first month we need to recieve your questionnaire before the 19th of the preceeding month for your book to be sent that month. This is to allow us enough time to properly select your books.
Why have I got two books in December?
Due to how busy the new shop is, and postal issues during the Christmas period we have decided this year to include December’s and January’s books together, to ensure we can maintain our high standards and that you’re not left without a book!
What if I don’t receive my book?
If you haven’t received your book by the 10th of the month, please contact us by the 15th or before so we can look into it as quickly as possible.
How will I know you have received my questionnaire?
If posting – as part of the questionnaire we ask if you’d like us to inform you when we’ve received it so you should hear from us if you’ve said yes & provided your contact detailsIf you fill out the questionnaire online you’ll get a message at the bottom saying it’s been sent. If you’d like to check please get in touch with us.
If filling out online – you’ll recieve confirmation at the bottom once you’ve pressed submit, if unsure please contact us and we can check.
How do you choose the books?
We use our special bookseller superpowers! The rest is a trade secret… though your questionnaire certainly helps!
Can I choose the books?
We’re afraid this isn’t really the idea of the subscription service, we hand-pick books we think you’ll love, meaning you can discover new books you may not have chosen. As well as the joy of getting a surprise book each month!
(If you would like specific books we offer a book ordering service for any book in print separately. Books arrive with us usually next day if you use this service).
What if I need to change my address?
Please notify us promptly of any change in address urgently, otherwise we will continue to send to the original address you have provided! (Which may be problematic for you!)
What if I’ve already got the book?
We hope this won’t happen, but if it does, please contact us as soon as possible, ideally within 5 days of receiving it. Then you’ll need to return the book in mint condition to us (we will pay postage for at least one return during the subscription if you already have the book – please contact us for this). Then we’ll send you an alternative as soon as we can. Please contact us prior to returning the book, and please see the Ts&Cs for more information on this.
Can I renew my subscription?
Yes! And if you’re happy with your selections you don’t even need to fill anything out, simply contact us to renew!
